Floating Chapel
Summer school collaboration with the Orthodox Church of Estonia. In need of a new baptizing space, students were given a task to design a chapel floating on a river.
The idea behind the design was to seclude the baptising process with wall panels from redundant details of the surroundings on the river, but leave a gap between the roof. The gap lets in necessary light and river reflections project onto the ceiling on a sunny day.
