After the bench was finished I needed to move on constructing the outdoor kitchen counter. I took it upon me to figure out a way to create a composition between all of the gathered leftovers, that could become components of the countertop.
The goods found from the trash are little guides to how the design could be established, linking the pieces with functions needed in a kitchen.
We were lucky to find quality solid wood planks from a closed down corner store and some pretty strong wooden legs that I deconstructed out of the kindergartens bed frames.
I was happy to discover that the measurements of the wooden planks fit perfectly in a row of six inside a veneer panel that I envisioned to become a levitating table extension, which could serve as a dining table or a surface for a buffet layout.
The veneer was found in a scrap yard from Tõrva and could become a supporting element to connect the two countertops. I also stumbled upon a metal rack, which inspired me to create a hot top for pots or pans to rest on, when one would prepare a meal, dividing the countertops naturally to prep and cooking stations. Another beautiful element I found from the trash was an old lamp shade, I grabbed it along to form a placing of it on the cooking station in-order to store cutlery in or smaller equipment needed for cooking. It can easily transform into a vase for fresh flowers too.

One evening we felt like having dinner on an abandoned stadium during sunset, and decided with the residents that we’ll have a pink dinner. I got childishly excited about the idea, so I cooked pink.
