6 WEEK / OPENING
The opening day was marvellous. We couldn’t predict how many people would come, but somehow the amount of food cooked was just enough. We were lucky not to get caught in the rain and the plot worked well for a location as a kitchen setup, inviting guests to dine, hang out and share thoughts on the sketchy material program in general.
I couldn’t be happier to have brought people together around food to share the experience we had working within VARES. The projects we created individually questioned the usage of particle boards in the furniture industry and my design suggestions on the outdoor kitchen, was an attempt to raised more awareness on how easily one could up-cycle resources to build a place to cook and dine.
